Petsafe Extra Instant Fence Receiver - PIF-275-19 is Completely wireless system. Signal field is spherical in nature giving a circular boundary. It should be mounted inside, 2-4 feet above the ground on a non-metal surface and kept at least 3 feet away from the utility box or large appliances.

Its maximum range is 90 feet from the transmitter or 90 foot radius and minimum range is 5 feet from transmitter. It has been designed not to correct during a power outage, The receiver is constantly looking for a signal, will only correct when the receiver loses the signal from the transmitter

Petsafe Extra Instant Fence Receiver / Wireless Pet Containment System has been proven safe, comfortable, and effective for all pets over 8 pounds. The system works by transmitting a radio signal up to 90 feet in all directions.

In Petsafe Extra Instant Fence Receiver, You can temporarily define the Pet Area with Boundary Flags for a visual aid in training your pet. Your pet wears a Receiver Collar with Contact Points that touch his neck, and, once trained, is allowed to roam freely in the Pet Area. When your pet reaches the Boundary Zone, the Receiver Collar gives a warning beep before delivering a safe Static Correction through the Contact Points to get his attention until he returns to the Pet area.
